Jeppe Marathon - Forever in Her Footsteps

Ten years ago, we lost our mother, Janice, a woman whose strength, grace, and deep love for others left footprints that will never fade. She faced her battle with cancer with extraordinary courage, and in her hardest moments, the gift of healing touch brought her comfort that medicine alone could not.

At DL Link, we see every day that cancer affects more than just the body. It impacts the mind and spirit too. Alongside treatment, there is a deep need for calm, comfort, and care.

That’s why we are creating a dedicated Wellness Room: a peaceful, nurturing space where warriors can access massage, reflexology, and reiki. A space to breathe. To release. To feel held.

This room will be named in loving memory of Janice Novis, whose warmth, resilience, and compassion continue to inspire us all.

Leigh and Dale have taken on this initiative in memory of their dear mom, bringing together a running group for the Jeppe Marathon, which falls on her yortzeit and birthday. Every step run is a step toward creating this space of healing for others.

Forever in Her Footsteps is more than a campaign. It’s a promise- to continue walking the path she showed us. A path of strength, kindness, and unconditional love.

We may never fill her shoes, but we will keep moving in her direction.
