In May 2025 my late mom got very ill, she had been an epileptic all her life and was treated in a State Facility for this condition. She started to present with stroke like symptoms, confusion, loss of memory - i requested for a CT and MRI to be performed in state, however they told me there was no reason for them to motivate for this expensive test and that it was due to her epilepsy. She was sponsored by an organization to be on a basic hospital plan, however there was a waiting period for her chronic condition, one afternoon she could not get up, the whole side of her body had gone numb, i contacted Hatzola and she was taken to a private hospital. On the 7th of May 2025 an MRI was performed which showed a malignant neoplasm of the brain, there was a 15mm midline shift. They could not perform a biopsy and she was unable to undergo any procedures as it was to big. She passed away on the 9th of July 2025 after suffering for two months in ICU. She had left this world at 56 years old. Leaving two children, a husband and two grandchildren.
