Hi! My name is Isaac Gordon, and In honor of my upcoming Bar Mitzvah , I have chosen as a chessed initiative to run with my parents in the Jerusalem Marathon tomorrow. As I run through the magical streets of Jerusalem , I will be wearing name of a Cancer Warrior printed on my shirt - literally on my heart! I am running in honor of a young three year old girl , a brave little warrior Eliana and praying for a complete Refuah for her ! As I run this challenging race, I will identify with those “running” the hills of their own challenging journey through Cancer. The purpose of our run is to celebrate endurance and survival – to inspire Cancer patients and their families with hope and positivity. We are choosing to run. They have no choice! DL Link , an organization started in memory of my beloved Aunt Devorah Leah runs’ hand in hand with a patient from the time of diagnosis, during treatment and beyond, offering them as well as their families and caregivers a host of services, currently being offered to 1000 families in the South African community to ease the burden and bring them small joys during the often unknown, lonely and grueling journey.
